the snake had come to the farmers tough to see the farmers hospitality but on the wanton deed of the farmer by which he threw a log of wood at the snake, the snake retreated thanklessly.

1.The snake didn’t thank the poet for drinking water from his water trough because the snake had as much right to drink as any other person.water is after all a natural resource which has to be shared by all organisms on earth.
2.He returned thanklessly because he could not speak as he was an animal.
