why would we not able to write on a paper with pencil if friction were absent

friction help you to stand like wise it help in bounding of pencil and your finger and hand

Hi user!!!!

When writing with a pencil(or even a pen, for that matter), friction is a must. Without friction, the pen slips out of you hand, and the pencil led wouldn't make a mark on paper. A pencil eraser uses friction to rub off mistakes written in pencil lead. Rubbing the eraser on the lead wears out the eraser due to friction, while the particles worn off gather up the pencil lead from the paper.
