Why would you choose a database system instead of simply storing data in operating system files? When would it make sense not to use a database system?

SEE, IN SIMPLE STORAGE SOFTWARE LIKE EXCEL THERE ARE NOT FEATURES LIKE QUERY, FORMS, REPORTS WHILE IN ACCESS WHICH IS A DATABASE SOFTWARE THERE ARE FEATURES SO DATABASE MAKE OUR WORK EASIER TO STORE AND VISUALIZE.AND IN SITUATION U NEED TO CREATE A TABLE WITH FEW INFORMATION U SHOULD USE EXCEL BCOZ THERE ARE NO COMPLEX THINGS, ONLY FEW INFO. IS GIVEN SO U CAN USE EXCEL FOR IT, U CAN USE ACCESS BUT IT WILL TAKE MORE TIME THAN EXCEL.
