Hey buddy here is ur answer .......
This reminds me of my first SSB experience and how I messed up the entire process.
It was 12 SSB Bangalore,UES Navy entry scheme March,2017.
unlike other SSB entries, ues entry conducts its prescreening round before the actual SSB so all candidates called for this entry have already qualified GD & PI.Hence u can imagine the level of competition there.
Reported to the selection centre with 401 odd candidates so the aura was entirely different there.
anyways the screening tests were over and 39 of us had made it through.
Being a fresher then I was excited to the peak. The psychology tests & GTO tests happened smoothly and overall I was satisfied with my performance till now.
I had my PI on the 4th day of SSB.After about 45+ minutes of hardcore grilling,my interview proceeded as
H-what were your choices in the last CDS exam that you have qualified just now?
Me- Sir IMA,INA,OTA
H-why IMA & not INA as your first choice.(with a cunning smile that you are screwed now)
Me(gave an honest answer though)-Sir army was always the first choice for me.
He-So why you are here and wasting time of both of us.
Me-Sir I am open to any opportunity that comes my way to join the armed forces.
He seemed unsatisfied with my reply as he wanted me to give a stronger reason to join Navy as well, that I realised later-_-
H-gentleman,you will be facing interview for CDS IMA in few weeks. I hope u make the best use of your opportunity there(in sarcasm).
Then few counter ques on my choice for army & I started giving my reasons for army, hence closing my doors for Navy in that particular entry.
I really regret that till now.
So results were declared and I turned from a fresher to repeater then and there.
I would suggest all aspirants to make use of presence of mind in SSB as every que asked to you is for a reason and you are expected to reply accordingly.Any deviation from their expectations would lead to your rejection.Hence we should always think before uttering anything.
hope answer will be helpful to u .....!!!!!
