why would you not like to use a measuring tape made of an elastic metarial like robber to measure distance? what would be some of the problems you would meet in telling someone about a distance you measured with such a tape?

If we will use measuring tape made of elastic material, it will cause problems in measuring correct distance ..
Due to the elasticity of rubber or any other elastic material, the length of measuring tape will vary and will change from it's actual length. Due to this, the inches or centimetres written in tape will be incorrect and correct distance will not be measured.
