why would you not like to use a measuring tape made of an elastic material like Rubber to measure distance what would be some of the problem you would meet in telling someone about editing you measured with such a tape ......explain it brefily ...​

An elastic measuring tape is stretchable. It cannot be used to measure distances because the length of the tape may change on stretching. As a result, the measured length would not be correct

Elastic material like rubber have property of elasticity which on applying force changes its length . If we use rubber elastic material for measuring it can change it length when an force is applied . That's why measuring tape are not made up of plastic material they are made of stiff material which does not changes its length and do not show property of elasticity.
