WHY x × 0 = 0 always ????

Think about this :

LOGICAL PROOF :

If you have 2 balls, and you multiply this with 0.

You have 2 balls and you keep 0 balls at the table ( because you multiplied by 0 )

Hence number of balls kept in the table is 0 .

If you kept 2 balls 1 time then number of balls in table would have been two.

Similarly repeat the experiment with any number of balls you want .

MATHEMATICAL PROOF :

X times 0 = 0 ?

When you multiply a with b to get ab

If you divide ab with a you get b .

So X × 0 = 0

since 0 / X = 0

Thus X × 0 =0 [ PROVED ]

Note that you cannot divide a number by 0 as it violates the laws of mathematics.
