x - 10 = y + 10 x+20 = 2 (y - 20)

x-y=10+10 x+20=2y-40

x-y=20 equation-1

x-2y=-60 equation-2

BY USING THE SUBSTITUTION METHOD

(x-y=20 ) MLTIPLY IT BY -1

x-2y=-60

-X+Y=-20

x-2y=-60

---------

0-Y=-80

Y=80

PUT THE VALUE OF 'Y' IN EQUATION---1

x-y=20

X-80=20

X=20+80

X=100

X=100 Y=80

BECAUSE,

x - 10 = y + 10 and x+20 = 2 (y - 20)

100-10=80+10 100+20=2 (80-20)

90=90 120=2 (60)

----- 120=120
