X linked recessive diseases are most common in males then in females because females have XX Chromosomes i.e. 2 X chromosomes while males have only one X chromosome ..
for a X linked recessive disease to be expressed in females , both the X chromosomes should contain the gene for that disease but in males only one X chromosome is required to contain the gene for that disease hence chances are more that one Chromosome could contain that gene. hence X linked recessive diseases are more common in males.
