why xylem is dead tissue and phloem is alive tissue?? please answer in your own word and please don't ask it from Google..........​

Explanation:

phloem ko alive rehna hi padega

because they need atp (energy) for moving food (sugars) from leaves to other parts

of the plant. this is why it is known as active transport.

but, xylem does not need  energy to transport water as it will happen automatically due to transpiration in the leaves which produces cohesive force (force btwn water molecules)in the roots.
