why yoghurt is mixed into the batter or dough for making rava idli, bhature, naan?

because the yougurt contains yeast which make the dish more fluffier and tasty

it is just because yoghurt have yeast.and yeast is used for the process of breaking Down of sugar in which alcohol is produced and carbon dioxide is given off knowns as fermentation..
