Why you are not able to hold metal rod when other end of rod is heated?

→ We know that , Metals are good conductors of heat .
→ When one end is heated , eventually the heat spreads so we can catch it .
→Heat is being spread throughout the metal.
→Even utensils are having plastic / wooden handles.
→ So , we are not able to hold metal rod when the other end of rod is heated.

Heat travels through metals easily and therefore when a metal rod is heated at one end, we may not be able to hold the other end as that end gets heated up, too.
Heat energy is transmitted by way of conduction. Metals are normally very good conductors of heat energy. Heat energy is conducted from the hot end of a material to the cold end.
