why you like the story The Blue Umbrella
Answers
Answer:
It is difficult to choose one book from the several books the writer has written as each book is special in its own way. The descriptions in his book are so lively and real that it takes the reader to that fascinating place which is usually the hills or the small town. I will pick BLUE UMBRELLA as my favourite read as it is the first book I read of Ruskin Bond and this is the book which introduced me to one of the finest authors of our times.
Blue umbrella is a story about a village girl Binya who is fascinated by a silk umbrella and wants it at any cost. While reading the story I realized that each one of us has a Binya in us as we all desire something and follow our dream and desire to achieve it. Similarly, we all have a Ram Bharosa in us as we sometimes envy someone for their treasured possession and try to get it by fair or foul play. This story is equally enjoyed by my 3-year-old sister as she flips through the illustrations in the book, myself as I read it several times to my little sister and my mother who remembers it from her childhood days and that is the beauty of the writings of Ruskin Bond. I am honoured to have met the writer in Mussorie and I had a brief chat with him about this very book.
