Turmeric is a natural indicator. It retain its yellow colour with acidic and neutral solution but turn red in contact of basic solution. Soap is basic in nature. So when we wash the cloth with stain of haldi with soap it change its colour from yellow to red.
To remove the stain from cloth, it should be treated either with liquid detergent as it is non-ionic. Also, it can be treated with vinegar or baking soda to fade the stain.
No, weak acid and dilute acid is not same. Weak acid is one in which the acid molecule does not ionize completely to give H+ while a dilute acid is one in which there is large amount of solvent because of which the concentration of H+ per unit volume remains very less.
The waste of factories is necessary to neutralise because if acids are drained directly into water bodies, the water will become acidic and the aquatic life can not survive in acidic water.

This is because the turmeric is a natural acid base indicator and we know that the soap is basic in nature.when we rub soap on turmeric stain it turns into red colour and show that the soap is basic in nature.
