The transition from school to university is quite challenging to young people initially. Some of the factors are stated below:-

1) Human beings do not like change. When we undergo a change from school to university, we try to resist it fearing the unknown.

2) School becomes like a second home to young people who have spent years and have developed good rapport with the teachers and have many friends. When they think of going to the university, they fear losing their old friends and teachers.

3) Young people do not like the unfamiliar aspects of going to the university initially like new building, new professors, new class mates, new subjects, etc. These make their transition all the more challenging.
