ZANU – PF or "Zimbabwe National Unity – Authoritarian Front." ZANU – ZANU After independence, that is, 1980, Zimbabwe has governed. " Robert Mugabe", who was the "President" of the country, headed this party until 2017, in which he was deposed and a new, almost dictatorial leader, "Emmerson Mnangagwa", became the leader of the party & president of the country. This party has already won votes, which is the unique attribute of this party.

Explanation:

  • Since its independence in the year 1980, Zimbabwe has been governed by ZANU-PF. Zanu PF's then chief, Robert Mugabe, controlled the country until 2017. ZANU-PF has continually & consistently won elections & many dirty tricks have been used to win elections.
  • The Zanu-PF has greatly disrupted democratic growth in the region. Zimbabwe's foreign influence has maintained a multi - party government since its independence in 1980. In fact, it was always a "one-party dictatorship," however.
  • President Mugabe is famous but he is still using biassed voting practises. Over the years, politicians have repeatedly changed (amended) the Constitution in order to broaden the authority of the President and reduce his responsibility. Staff are being threatened and meetings are disrupted in the opposition party.
  • People's protests and assaults on politicians are deemed unconstitutional. The right to oppose the president is restricted by law. After Zimbabwe 's 2017 attack ZANU-PF agreed instead to topple the leader of Robert Mugaba and set up the outlawed leader, Emmerson Mnangagwa. TV and radio are owned by the govt & represented by the ruling party. He was Mugabe's 'top enforcer' until November 2017, playing a central role in the collapse of the rule of law & the economic crisis of Zimbabwe. And he played a big part in the massive human rights abuses that dominated the reign of Zanu-PF.
  • He had a more conciliatory language than his actions. He named political hardliners, acolytes & veterans of war in his cabinet after being elected president. Those decisions seemed to affirm the new Zanu-PF group 's strength.
