Even numbers are those numbers which are perfectly divisible by 2 .

0 is not an even number because it is not perfectly divisible by 2.

Examples of even numbers :

<> 2
<> 4
<> 6
<> 8
<>10

Zero (0) is not an even or odd number. This is because many years ago, Aryabhatta created this number to show that it is empty or of no use. This is signified by the empty space present in it.
