Zinc is a whitish, metal.
coating of the Zinc (Zn) metal layer.
This is the negative terminal of the dry cell.under the dry cell the carbon electrode is in the middle.carbon electrode have positive charge. Zinc's negative charge and carbon electrode's positive charge because of the boths terminals have opposite charges . We know that for supply of the electric current we required (-) and(+) charges of an object . therefore boths chemical reaction appears electric current and we use dry cells for any electric works.
