Explanation:

condition for transition element is its d shell should be less filled

An,CD,Hg has d shell fully filled

so they therefore are not included in transition element

Hey dear

The electronic configuration of Zn , Cd and Hg are represented by the ,general formula ( n-1 ) d10 ns2 . The orbitals in this elements are completely filled in the ground state as well as in their common oxidation states . Therefore , they are not regarded as transition elements .
