Gandhi Ji decided to withdraw non cooperation movement because it was getting violent in many places. According to him the satyagrahis need to be properly trained before mass struggles. It was getting violent in -
1) In chauri chaura a peaceful demonstration in market lead to violent clash with police many police officials were killed.
2) In awadh houses of talukdars and merchants were attacket. Bazzars were looted.
