Whyit is written in sweet's box "consum witi 24 hour"

Usually many sweets (dry) last quite long.. Like chocolate, toffees etc. That is why in houses mothers make and then store sweets in tin / plastic boxes.. Also cream biscuits with soft sweet cream in sandwiched in between biscuits

However, certain jelly like sweets last for some days only. Some sweets like birthday cakes, soft cream, pastries etc. which contain some moisture, or sugar juice get dried up quickly. When they are dry, they do not taste good. They become hard and tough. The feeling of soft touch on tongue will be missing. Also petha does not taste good when it is dry.

That is the reason... Freshness and moisture...are lost..

kvnmurty: bacteria is not the main reason for writing "consume within 24 hrs"... it is that the freshness, moisture, softness are lost due to which the taste changes and it becomes unpleasant...
