India has been a land of culture and there are some traditions which had started ages back and are still continuing.

The agrarian people in Bundelkhand used to do a dance at the time of crop harvesting and this folk dance is still a part of the culture as they hope for better cultivation by performing this.

This dance form is called Javaara.

Most of the folk dances in the Bundelkhand region are related to marriage ceremonies. But the male dance form of ‘Diwari’ is performed as a thanks giving ritual after harvesting.

In this dance form, male dancers show martial arts on the music of drums. Thus they show their gratitude towards nature for successful harvesting of crops.
