The correct question.

Which term of sequence 5,3,1,-1.... is -27

The correct answer is 17th term.

Given: The sequence = 5,3,1,-1...

To Find: The term of sequence which is equal to -27.

Solution:

First term(a) = 5

Common difference = difference between any two consecutive terms

= second term - first term

= 3-5 = -2

T_{n}=a+(n-1)d

-27 = 5 + (n-1)(-2)

-32 = n-1(-2)

16 = n-1

n = 17

Hence, 17th term of the sequence is -27.
