Width of rectangle increases. 25 percent and length doesn't by

solution:

let breadth = 100%b and length = 100%l

area of rectangle = length × breadth = 100%l × 100%b = 10000%lb

Width of rectangle increases. 25 percent
so,25% increase breadth = 100%b +25% of 100% b = 100%b + 25%b = 125%b

area of rectangle with 25% increase in breadth = 25% increase breadth × length = 125%b + 100%l = 12500% lb

so, increase in area = (area of rectangle with 25% increase in breadth) - (area of rectangle before increase) = 12500% lb - 10000% lb = 2500% lb = (2500 × lb )/100 = 25lb

so, increase in area of rectangle is 25lb or 2500% lb of 10000% lb
