Hey friend,
A wild animal like tiger does not eat plants. But if plants are not there they cannot survive as they indirectly depend on plants.
For example, a tiger(carnivore) eats a deer(herbivore). Deer eats plants as its a herbivore. So, if there are no plants the deer will die and ultimately the tigers will also die.
The food chain always starts with a plant, so if plants are not there, the food chain will not exist.
