Explanation:

Explain: Forests are unevenly distributed in India. Due to variations in climatic conditions such as amount of rainfal, temperature, type of soil there are variations in the distribution of Forest.

Reasons for uneven distribution of natural vegetation all over the world:- (a) CLIMATE- varying climate provides varying atmospheric conditions for different plants and trees. The tropical evergreen forests will only be found in the rainforest/tropical zones of the equator, while pine trees will only be found in hilly areas. (b) ALTITUDE- altitude of a place also influences the kind of trees that are to grow there. Like stated in the previous point, pine trees cannot grow in plain regions, but in hilly mountainous regions. (c) HUMIDITY- one of the most fundamental factors, humidity influences the physical features of trees. Acacia and Cactus develop spiny leaves and thick stems to prevent transpiration due to extreme weather conditions d prevailing in deserts. (d) SOIL- Soil matters the most. Cotton plants can only be grown in black soil, while big wild trees can often adjust in forest soils. (e) RELIED/TOPOGRAPHY- Finally, relief also is responsible for uneven distribution of natural vegetation over the globe. Australia's topography supports Savannah-type vegetation, while South America is a haven to wild Tropical Rainforests.
