NO,In in the long run;Yes ,in the short run.In none of them will quite the industry in case it is incuring loss.In short run a firm continuous to cope with the losses so long as AR>AVC.Because by covering variable cost the firm is incuring loss of fixed cost only which it has to include even when production is discontinued.
