Will a piece of silver / gold be attracted towards a magnet ? Give reason.

Yes and no....   Aluminum is paramagnetic.   Since the attraction is so small, only sophisticated scientific instruments can measure that....

Aluminum is not ferromagnetic like iron.  But it is not anti-magnetic or diamagnetic.   Aluminum can be magnetized but to very little extent.  Aluminum's magnetic strength is like 1/million of Iron's.

Aluminum , copper, magnesium, titanium etc. are called paramagnetic materials.
