Hey friend,

The movement of a substance depends on the energy present in. Moreover, the form of energy also matters.
If the energy is in the form of kinetic energy the substance as in the question will keep moving but if not the substance will not move and will stay back in the same position.

Hope it may help..

Ribyaann: so ....can we create perpetual means of energy in space ??
HariniSundar: Energy itself is perpetual, no matter where ever it is, either on Earth or space.. And energy can neither be created nor destroyed ( not forgetting the law ;p)
Ribyaann: thank u
HariniSundar: you are always welcome!
