look in girls and boys the FSH helps in gametogenesis,ormation of gametes.n females FSH stimulates the ovarian follicle, causing an egg to grow. It also triggers the production of estrogen in the follicle. FSH stimulates testicular growth and enhances the production of an protein by sertoli cells which helps in maturing the sperm cells.As a whole FSH helps to stimulate follicles in both males and females and helps in formation of gametes.

Functions of estrogen:

--development of female secondary sexual characters

--regulation of menstruation

--Estrogen controls growth of the uterine lining during the first part of the menstrual cycle

--regulates various other metabolic processes, including bone growth and cholesterol levels.
