Will baking soda react with vinegar if I mix it with water?

The chemical reaction that occurs when baking soda and vinegar mix is written below. Used in cooking. It weakly ionizes in water: In reaction with an acid, it liberates carbon dioxide gas: This reaction is an important part of the leavening which takes place in baking. It's dissolves to Na+ and HCO3- ions.

yes the reaction between the vinegar ( acetic acid ) and sodium bicarbonate results in the formation of the carbondioxide gas which is helpful in making projects like volcano etc...
