Will buoyant force exerted by a liquid increase if it's volume is increased (scientific answer pls)

The way the question was asked, yes the buoyant force will increase. ... That means that the volume of water displaced was increased which increases the buoyant force. If the object was free floating, then the answer is no. The weight wasn't increased so the buoyant force will not increase.
