Resistance is inversely proportional to thickness of wire therefore thick wire has lesser resistance than thin wire so current flows more easily through thick wire

current will flow more easily through a thick wire because
flow of current is directly proportional to area
as the area increases the amount of current flowing will also increase
resistance is inversely proportional to area
so resistance will be less so more current can flow
