Answer:

A thin wire would have small area of cross section, hence more resistance. ... A thick wire would have large area of cross section, hence less resistance. Since the resistance is less, current would flow easily. Hence, current would flow more easily in a thick wire.

Answer:

The current will flow more easily through a thick wire than the thin wire of the same material when connected to the same source.

Explanation:

The area of cross-section of the thick wire is greater than the area of cross-section of a thin wire. The resistance of a material is inversely proportional to its area of cross-section. This can be easily understood from the following equation of resistivity:

   ρ = RA/L

⇒ R = ρL / A

Where R is the resistance of the material of the wire, ρ is its resistivity, L and A are the length and area of the cross-section of the wire.

So we can see that as the area of cross-section increase the resistance of the material will decrease and the current will flow more easily through it.
