Hello there !

Enzymes in our stomach react with the chyme .
Chyme is a fluid that consist of gastric juice and also contains partly digested food that passes from the stomach to our small intestine.

Then the enzymes breaks down the food into smaller substances for getting necessary nutrients .
These nutrients are absorbed by lumen and then it is transported to blood.
Blood carries all the nutrients to all parts of the body.

The Mechanisms which are involved are :-
absorption, assimilation and ingestion.
