yes we can see that geographical isolation would be a major factor in specification of self pollination in plants species as plant neither can move nor have much advance structure in them at that time the genetic change in them is only through geographical isolation at that time only plant of those type of species will have pollination in them which would make a new type of species and this would be a major factor as plant could neither have other type of changes which would result in genetic change only geographical isolation is a major factor.

suppose that two types of plants are there in a mountain area at the time if the mountain have a certain natural calamity that separate those two type of plants at that time plant are bounded to be pollinated by their own type of plant and it would result in New species which would in several years be very different from what they were at that time.
