m( \frac{1}{m - n} - \frac{1}{m + n} )x \: + n( \frac{1}{n - m} - \frac{1}{m + n} )y \: = \frac{2mn}{m + n} m(m+n - m+n/m^2 - n^2)x - n(m+n - n+m/m^2 - n^2) = 2mn/m+n

2mnx/m^2-n^2 - 2mny/m^2-n^2 = 2mn/m+n

2mn/m^2-n^2 (x-y) = 2mn/m+n

x-y = 2mn/m+n × m^2-n^2/2mn

x-y = m^2-n^2/m+n

x-y = m+n(m-n)/m+n

x-y = m-n
