20. The length of a rectangle is 4 inches longer than the width. The area is 60 square inches. What is the width of the rectangle?

let the width be X
so the length will be =X+4
the area of rectangle =60 square
the formula of area of rectangle =LxB
so
LxB=60
put the value
X+4 multiply X=60
2X=60-4
2X=56
X=56/2
X=28
so
width =X=28
length=X+4=28+4=32
