Hey

Here is the answer.

n^2 = 18n + 40

or, n^2 -18n = 40

or, n^2 - 2×9n = 40

or, n^2 + 81 - 18n = 40+81

or, (n - 9)^2 = 121

or, n - 9 = 11

or, n = 11+9

so, n = 20

6x^2 - 48= -12x

or, x^2 + 12x/6 = 48/6

or, x^2 +2x = 8

or, x^2 + 2x +1 = 8+1

or, ( x + 1 )^2 = 9

or, x + 1 = 3

or, x = 3 - 1

so, x = 2

Thanks.
