will Mercury and sulphuric acid reacting? if it's possible, what will be the result?

No mercury will not react with sulphuric acid as mercury is less reactive than hydrogen....so it cant displace hydrogen from sulphuric acid...only those metals cn displace hydrogen which are more reactive than hydrogen...

Hi dude.... See below...


1. If it is diluted sulphuric acid Mercury will not react


2. If it is concentric sulphuric acid mercury will react with this and the result will be mercury(II) compounds together with sulphur oxide
