No all seven colors consisted by white light are needed.

Ray of natural light consists of seven different wave length -VIBGYOR as under : V- Violet, I - Indigo, B - Blue, G- Green,Y- Yellow,Orange, 
R-Red . 
Natural light ray passing through prism get refracted in rainbow pattern. 

Red light has only one wave length, it will not show rainbow like refraction on screen
