Answer:Mass of the object remains same, be it on earth or be it on mars. However weight cannot remain same. Equation of Newton’s second law, F = ma, is useful in explainging the difference. F is force, m is mass and a is acceleration. If an object is on earth, a is replaced by the acceleration due to gravity of earth, that is g. Its value is 9.8 m /sec^2 - of course with some minor variation on equator and on pole. If an object is on mars, then a has to be replaced by acceleration due to gravity of mars. g of mars is about 1/3 of g of earth. about 3.3 m / sec^2. So obviously, weigths of same body on earth and mars will be different.

In fact, I am not interested in visiting mars because my digestive and circulatory systems will be very badly affected, leading to death.

Answer:

Mass will be same on both earth and mars, but weight will be different on earth and mars

Explanation:

Mass is a quantity of matter. It does not change by changing place and position.

Weight is actually a force on a particular mass due to gravity. As gravity of earth and mars is different, so different forces will be applied by them on a particular mass. Weight can be calculated as w= mg .
