Answer:

When dilute sulphuric acid to lime water (calcium hydroxide ) it becomes calcium sulphate . When an acid +base reaction takes place the reaction releases heat energy . So this process releases heat energy . This reaction is also called exothermic reaction which releases heat or light energy.

Ca(oH)2 + H2SO4 -----> CaSO4 + 2H2O

it is an exothermic reaction as and touching the beaker we can feel the heat produced by the reaction of dilute sulphuric acid and lime water .
