will the reaction still take place if solid sodium sulphate is added to aq. Solution of barium chloride. Justify your answer.

solution : when aqueous solution of sodium sulphate, Na₂SO₄ is added to aqueous solution of barium chloride BaCl₂ then Barium sulphate BaSO₄ precipitate and aqueous solution of NaCl are formed.

i.e., Na₂SO₄ (aq) + BaCl₂ (aq) ⇒BaSO₄ ↓ (s) + 2NaCl (aq)

but when we take sodium sulphate in solid state, reaction will not take place.

Therefore the reaction won't take place when solid sodium sulphate is added to aqueous barium chloride.
