The reciprocal of a proper fraction is always an improper fraction. The reciprocal of a proper fraction never be a proper fraction.
Examples of the proper fraction:
2/13, 3/13, 4/13

Reciprocals of the above numbers:
13/2, 13/3, 13/4

These are all improper fractions.

Hence the reciprocal of a proper fraction is always an improper fraction.

Hope this helps you.
