When Tt(tall plant ) is crossed with tt(dwarf plant), only 50% of plants will be tall, other 50% will be dwarf. ... So by seeing 2nd and 3rd situations, we can say,SO, SEEDS OF TALL PLANTS WILL NOT ALWAYS PRODUCE TALL PLANTS...

Answer:

No, seeds from the tall plant does not always produces new tall plants.

It mainly depends on dominant and recessive character (Which is concluded from Mendel’s pea plant experiment)

Explanation:

  • Dominant trait : The dominant trait is the one that first appears or is visibly displayed in the organism.

Even if only one copy of the dominant characteristic exists, dominant traits are always displayed when the connected allele is dominant.

  • Recessive trait : The recessive trait is a trait that exists at the gene level but is masked and does not manifest in the organism.

Only when both of the related alleles are recessive are recessive traits expressed. The linked character is less likely to manifest if one of the alleles is dominant.
