Why does the ionic product of water increase with the increase in temperature? The dissociation of water molecule is an endothermic reaction. By Le Chatelier's principle, increase in the temperature will shift the equilibrium towards the direction where the heat is absorbed, i.e, where the endothermic reaction happens.
