See i would do both help and not help because it feels better when we help a poor person but what happens that if you help the poor person one day he/ she will think that this man is very kind hearted as he helped me and what he will do is that he will regularly come to us for things. This happens especially if that poor person lives somewhat near to your house but if you help any poor people that is far away from than it's ok to help
