A prison preforming one of Shakespeare's most famous plays, Hamlet.

Shakespeare worked in four different genres of plays. Comedy, History, Tragedy, and, of course, poetry.

The Golden Globe Theater

The Golden Globe Theater was believed to be built around 1599. It was built in London, England. It was very popular and many would come to enjoy the plays, but that's not all. Many would hang outside the theater because of the nice and happy feeling they would get while around it.

Wow, that's crowded...

This is what the Theater probably looked like.

The Golden Globe Theater was actually destroyed along with all other play houses in London in 1642 and 1644 under order of the parliament. (the highest Legislator in the UK)

William Shakespeare wasn't the main reason people went to the Golden Globe. They went to see an actor named Richard Burbage. He was the equivalent to a movie star.

During this presentation on William Shakespeare I learned alot about him. His life, his theater, his theater group, his plays, and the time he lived in.
