Explanation:

Instead of just using words to describe fireworks, a sighted person will also on the back of the blind person to describe aspects of the show. “We're going to see if it works,” said Collin van Uchelen.

The following is the way I would explain a firework show to Wima.

The night sky is dark. It's similar to what you are accustomed to seeing. But sometimes, people try to momentarily light it up. They do that using fireworks.

Fireworks look like small balls exploding outwards in the night sky. They remove the darkness in the place where they explode. They do it using fire. This means fireworks are warm. They are hot.

When fireworks happen, they make loud noises. This is frightening sometimes, but that's inevitable considering they explode. When a lot of fireworks go off together in the sky, it is called a firework show.

Fireworks make people happy. They are used in times of celebration, because they look beautiful and temporarily remove the darkness. They may go off in the sky or on the ground, but they spread smiles. Since they use fire, they can be a little dangerous too, but the small potential risk is nothing compared to the satisfaction of fireworks forming beautiful patterns in the night sky.
